Feel good blues with the Blues Wizards!

BLUES!!!!

Let it be known that I actually did mean to post this on Sunday like I said but my main internet was down and the cruddy "linksys" network could not handle uploading photos or email. But its fixed now!

Tuesday blog post! There will still be a wednesday one so don't worry. Anyways, I met this cool blues band (at least 2 of them) at Phil's Barbeque last thursday with Sara. I thought they played pretty good and they had that "bluezy" look that made me think that they might be good subjects to photograph (or blog about cough cough). The group goes by the name "Blues Wizards and the Masters of Humility".

You can learn more about the Blues Wizards and Masters of Humility by clicking here or by searching their name on youtube.

Moving along, I heard they played at Koby's Swap Meet every Sunday from 10-2 (except now they are in Texas for a month). I unfortunately came in right when they were finishing their last song due to work on other photos. However, I did manage to bargain some photo time with them after they were done. In exchange for buying one of their CDs, I was able to score some posing time with them which was great! Here are the photos (below) as a result of that time.

Wish I didn't crop the head off the top of his head!

Communion Portraits

FIRST COMMUNION PORTRAITS

DISCLAIMER: If you see your child's picture here and would like it removed, please contact me at Garrett.Steppat@gmail.com

Now that is out of the way, sorry I did not have a blog post for last week as I was incredibly busy with work, internships, school, and a brand new photoshoot that I did with the help of my good friends Sara and Stephen. I am very excited about these photos because this was my first time shooting portrait shots in 10 minute rapid sessions and so far I have been receiving tons of positive feedback! Huzzah!

Enough blabbing about my recent success, below are more communion portraits I shot.

Some of them Im going to have to improve the white balance on however, this is just a collection of 1 pose of each child. Leave a comment and let me know what you think. For next week, Im going to try to fit in TWO blog posts *gasp*. Be sure to look out for them, one on Sunday, and the other on the regularly scheduled wednesday.

Thanks!
